Normally I try to bring you outside of the box ideas, products, tendencies or simple thoughts. For this warm August post I decided to offer you a bit of the summer mood.
While this part of the world rests, on the other side of the globe there are some very active minds reproducing with “minor” adjustments what seems to be unthinkable around here. I explain.
China is growing well while the rest of the world spins 200kms with economic and identity crisis. The strong capacities of the Chinese producing in large scale in no secret, but to reproduce very bizarre products and business concepts is a common tendency around the rising sun.
From cars, to soft drinks, to mobile phones to entire villages. This a very hot topic for copyright or creative commons, but doesn’t seem to bother or stop the success of these “new” products in China and neighbouring countries.
In my opinion, they are doing the exact same thing that has been done in mature economies. I believe the major difference with companies around here are based in many aspects that qualify what is offered. For that all enterprises tend to create different names, design, logos, branding, strategies, targets and use different distribution channels among many other decisions that while help to differentiate and succeed. For example Coca- Cola vs Pepsi, Nike vs Adidas, Macdonals vs Burger King etc etc.
What seems to be a big handicap from Chinese corporate strategy is not evolving with the know how they have right now and the financial strength to create something really new and remarkable.
I leave some examples of direct competition global companies are facing in China. Who had the idea that China is a sea of roses; by now understand that there might also be some spikes to remove.

My favourite is the iOrgane!!!
